Powering a base A6 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, while other models comes equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that increases performance to 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Audi's 7 and 8-speed automatic transmissions make for seamless shifts between gears. An A6 can comes equipped with front-wheel drive or Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Fuel Economy

In 2.0-liter FWD guise, the A6 achieves up to an EPA-estimated 24 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, and 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway with all-wheel drive. With the supercharged V6, fuel economy is estimated at 20 mpg city/30 mpg highway.
